Looking for some late summer activities to enjoy around the Cincinnati area? Today’s Transitions has the scoop on a few events in the Queen City this August.
August 3: Happy first birthday to beloved Fritz the hippo! The Cincinnati Zoo will host a birthday celebration including birthday cake for zoo guests, watermelon carving, and special photo opportunities around the zoo. Learn more about this event and see what else is happening at the zoo here.
August 10-11: It’s Free Days at the Heritage Village Museum. Discover the history of Ohio during the 1800s with several buildings open and interpreters in historical clothing performing demonstrations. Admission is free and hours are 10am-5pm.
August 25-27: Germania kicks off Oktoberfest season with their 51st Oktoberfest. Hours are Friday 6-11pm, Saturday 2-11pm, Sunday 12-7pm. Admission charged.
