Derby Week
Look up! On Saturday, April 29, dozens of balloons will take to the skies from Bowman Field for the Great Balloon Race.
The Zoeller Pump Company Pegasus Parade hits Broadway on Sunday, April 30 to help kick off the Derby week festivities.
All aboard! The Belle of Louisville, Belle of Cincinnati, and American Countess will compete for bragging rights on the Ohio River in the Kentucky Derby Festival Great Steamboat Race on Wednesday, May 3.
The fillies hit the track on Friday, May 5 for the Kentucky Oaks.

Festival Fun
Old Louisville Springfest will take place in Old Louisville on Saturday, May 20. This event is a handmade art and neighborhood celebration of Old Louisville’s culture, diversity, food, style, family, music and philanthropy.
Forest Fest is a free, family-friendly festival of bluegrass and Americana music, local food, and crafts in scenic Jefferson Memorial Forest. This year’s event is Saturday, May 20.
The Kentucky Bourbon Festival will be held in Bardstown, Ky. September 15 – 17, 2023, with tickets going on sale May 11. Click here for more information.

Music in the Gardens, an outdoor concert series at Waterfront Botanical Gardens, offers music, food, refreshments, and unmatched sunset views of the city all summer long. Click here for info about the May 10 concert.
