February in Louisville will bring us music, romance, and culinary delights sure to foster connection and warm up the frostiest days.
Kick off your month with a couple of inspiring events. Home design enthusiasts can check out the Spring Home Project Show in La Grange on February 1. Meet experienced local contractors who can help you finally complete that half-finished half-bath. Admission is free, but the advice and tips you’ll receive are priceless.

Also happening Feb. 1 is Winter Jam 2025 at the KFC Yum! Center. Find tickets online for this music festival featuring contemporary Christian artists of all styles such as Skillet, Anne Wilson, KB, and Colton Dixon.
Families and animal enthusiasts will roar over Wild Winter Days at the Louisville Zoo, going on now through February 28. Learn more about how the animals adapt to cold winter weather, and bring in a canned or nonperishable food item for Dare To Care to get tickets at a discount. Head back to the zoo on Feb. 12 for a Valentine trivia night for couples. Advanced tickets are required for this event that will feature a three-course dinner, drinks, and entertainment.

For more Valentine’s Day romance, enjoy the Ravel’s Romantic Reverie concert by the Louisville Orchestra on Feb. 15, where Maestro Ken-David Masur will lead the orchestra in some of the most beautiful and lush music ever written.
Two enriching film experiences await you this month. The Black History Month Film Series returns to the Main Library every Sunday in February. This free series will feature a panel discussion led by UofL faculty following each film. And from Feb. 8-23, the annual Jewish Film Festival will explore themes of identity, culture, and history through 11 top-rated movies and six special event programs. The opening night will be held at the Trager Family JCC, and then look for showings at popular venues such as Louisville Slugger Museum, Baxter Theatre, and Speed Art Museum.
Keep your spirits up during the colder days with the Bourbon Classic happening Feb. 19-22. This premier bourbon event made Travel & Leisure’s list of “7 Best Cocktail Festivals Around the Country” and will offer tastings and workshops at different locations around the city. Check out the interactive events that will make any bourbon aficionado (or newbie) feel…well, neat.
