As luck would have it, there are lots of great events happening around Louisville in March. Here are our picks.
Take off into the new month by attending the Tailspin Ale Fest on March 2. This beer festival held at Bowman Field features more than 250 craft beers from 80 breweries, live music and vintage plane displays.
Celebrate International Women’s Day by visiting the Muhammad Ali Center’s new exhibit, Shining a Light: Women in Sports. The exhibition opens March 8, features international photographers and is free with admission to the center.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Head to the Highlands for the St. Patrick’s Parade on March 9.
Get your glow on at the dazzling Wild Lights lantern festival at the Louisville Zoo, starting March 23. This year’s festival will feature many new lantern displays highlighting life under the sea as well as ancient Chinese mythological characters.
Spring – and Derby! – is in the air: Start your Derby season by seeing the latest couture hat designs at the Kentucky Derby Museum Hat Show on March 24.
Some fun shows and concerts are in town. Check out Clue, Michael W. Smith and a new Golden Girls comedy show for starters.
